2 Role Purpose
Manage the development and execution of public engagement and outreach programmes to meet the objective of the unit in increasing community reach, awareness and involvement in Abu Dhabi Public Art, aligned with best practices and overall department’s objectives.
3 Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Program Development
- Set and develop plans and strategies to develop and organize various programmes and initiatives with the aim of enhancing cultural participation and raising community awareness on Abu Dhabi Public Art Programs and culture.
- Design and oversee outreach programs, events, and activities that promote public art and cultural initiatives.
Cultural Participation & Community Awareness Programmes
- Build and foster relationships with local, regional and international artists, exhibitors, collectors, patrons and museums groups and encourage them to participate in Abu Dhabi Art through outreach initiatives and engagement.
- Supervise the organization and implementation of distinctive public engagement programmes consisting of talks, performances and events related in order to bring diverse perspectives on global trends collectively.
- Manage the content development of cultural participation and community awareness programmes in cooperation with the concerned teams within the section to ensure that the content is consistent with the required goals and expectations and to provide recommendations and proposals on plans for continuous improvement and development of the content of the programmes.
Project Management
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of outreach and public engagement projects.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Coordinate with other departments and units to ensure seamless integration of outreach efforts with broader cultural programming.
Communication and Relationship Management
- Develop and implement communication strategies to promote public art programs and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with artists, performers, speakers, and all other participants in public engagement initiatives.
- Establish and nurture collaborative partnerships/relationships with other museums, government agencies, businesses, art agencies, cultural authorities and individuals.
Evaluation and Reporting
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach and engagement programs.
- Prepare regular reports on program activities and use data and feedback to continuously improve outreach strategies and programs.

Strategic Contribution
- Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into section business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing sectional strategies.
People Management
- Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the Section by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximize performance.
- Act as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics by employees of the assigned section to foster a value-driven culture within the organization.
Budgeting and Financial Planning
- Manage the preparation and recommend the section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all sectional activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned section activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative/health and safety/environmental requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting
- Ensure that all section reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet DCT requirements, policies and quality standards.
EHS (Environment, Health and Safety)
- Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies and procedures, by reporting incidents and hazards on a timely manner, and reduce consumption of natural resources to support in protecting the environment and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

5 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Fine Arts, Arts Management, Business Administration, Engineering or Equivalent.
6 Experience
- At least 5 – 7 years of experience in Arts/Culture/Heritage role, preferably 4 years of which in a managerial position.
7 Skills
- Full professional English proficiency both in speaking and writing ; Arabic desirable
- Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and information.
- Proficiency in documenting business requirements using industry-standard techniques and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders/vendors and cross-functional team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill - including appropriate stakeholder alignment.
- Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to convey emotion, action, and depth in concise and impactful language.
