The DCT Abu Dhabi Volunteer Programme (Labbeh) is an ideal platform for employees to volunteer for all projects and initiatives the Department launches, based on the needs of individual Sectors and Departments. The platform aims to achieve more community solidarity to protect and sustain cultural achievements and to position the Department as a distinguished socially responsible entity at local and international levels.
DCT Abu Dhabi also offers access for employees, their family members and the community to Volunteer.ae, a partner organization which hosts hundreds of volunteer projects in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
Consistent with the vision of the government of the United Arab Emirates regarding the promotion of a culture of charitable and humanitarian actions for the betterment of the nation, the platform also constitutes a continuity of the approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, "May God Rest His Soul", who instilled the values of tolerance and benevolence in the hearts of all the people of the Emirates.
DCT Abu Dhabi Volunteer Opportunities
The volunteer programme (Labbeh) represents the ideal platform to take part in volunteer work according to the talents, abilities and interests of each individual, and allows employees to participate in internal volunteering opportunities according to the needs of Sectors and Departments.
The volunteer’s application will go through an approval process via the employee’s Line Manager and the programme will automatically log the volunteer hours and history of participation of individuals.
DCT EMPLOYEE FAMILY MEMBERS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Family members of DCT can also get involved in volunteering both through volunteer.ae and within the Department.
DCT employees will be able to apply for their family members to participate in internal DCT volunteer opportunities through the application platform. As with the employees, the program will log the project participation history and volunteer hours of the family members.
EXTERNAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
DCT Employees, families and the community will also be able to access volunteer opportunities through our partner platform volunteer.ae, where they can choose to volunteer with many UAE organizations both in Abu Dhabi and other Emirates. Volunteer.ae allows those interested to access, view and apply for volunteer initiatives and charitable service in the local Abu Dhabi community, via the platform.
The Volunteer program will also encourage DCT employees, family members and community members to access volunteer opportunities throughout UAE through our partner organization Volunteer UAE. DCT Staff and their families will be able to access, view and DCT employees will develop relationships and build stakeholder engagement in the local community as well as the chance to grow and develop through their volunteer project activities- the learning through giving will be substantial.
Volunteer projects in Abu Dhabi and beyond through volunteer.ae will gain the attention and the support of DCT employees by offering their effort, time and expertise as contributed to volunteer projects locally and nationally.
