Role purpose:
To execute effective internal communication strategies and operations that foster a unified organizational culture, enhance employee engagement, and ensure the timely and consistent dissemination of key messages across DCT while continuously improving communication channels, content quality, and employee reach through innovative and inclusive approaches
Key responsibilities:
Internal Communication Planning:
- Support the creation and execution of a comprehensive internal communications strategy (including tactics, activities and materials) that aligns with DCT’s culture, values, and strategic priorities, fostering employee engagement and organizational alignment
- Develop and deliver targeted internal communication plans and initiatives that ensure consistent, timely, and transparent messaging across the organization
- Establish and manage a centralized internal communications calendar to coordinate key messages, events, and announcements, ensuring alignment with organizational milestones
- Design communication initiatives that resonate with DCT’s diverse workforce, ensuring inclusivity and relevance across all employee segments
- Monitor and assess the performance of internal communication channels and tools, using data-driven insights to enhance reach, engagement, and impact
Internal Communication Operations:
- Draft, review, and edit high-quality content in both English and Arabic, ensuring linguistic (grammar, punctuation, and style) accuracy, consistency in tone, and alignment with DCT’s communication standards
- Conduct research and translate technical or complex topics into clear, accessible messages tailored to non-specialist audiences
- Identify and implement creative, modern approaches to internal communication, leveraging digital tools and multimedia to enhance message delivery and engagement
- Create and manage internal communication content that supports organizational initiatives, change management efforts, and employee engagement programs
- Develop and manage content for internal publications, including newsletters, articles, brochures, and other collateral, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and content creators
- Prepare communication materials for internal events, leadership messages, and employee engagement campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Explore and implement new communication platforms and technologies to enhance internal outreach, including social media, intranet, and collaboration tools
- Coordinate and publish regular DCT wide newsletters, interviews, and newsflashes (among other tools) in an innovative and compelling manner
- Facilitate the adoption of new initiatives and programs by advising on effective communication strategies, organizing awareness events, and delivering targeted messaging to drive engagement
Shared Activity:
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities related to the role at the request of the direct manager
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Demonstrate compliance to organization’s values and ethics to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

- Adhere to the DCT Occupational Safety and Health policy, regulations, and laws, and provide help to the Corporate EHS in executing the OSHMS.
- Report any incidents, near misses, occupational illnesses, unsafe practices, and conditions immediately to the person concerned and participate in the investigation of OSH incidents, as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Master Preferred) in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or any other degree within relevant industry.
- Professional certification in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations is preferred. Graphic design or video editing experience is a plus (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Experience : 3 to 5 years of experience in Internal Communication or any other experience within similar role or industry
Skills
- Exceptional command of English and Arabic languages, with the ability to meticulously review and edit all content for grammar, punctuation, and linguistic accuracy, ensuring flawless quality and consistency across both languages
- Skilled in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Creative thinking and storytelling capabilities
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
