2             Role Purpose

Expand and manage global distribution networks to maximize the reach and revenue of published content. The role oversees the planning and execution of sales strategies, retail partnerships, digital distribution, and licensing agreements. The position plays a key role in enhancing commercial performance and bringing locally produced content to international markets.

 

3             Key Responsibilities

Core Activities

•              Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market growth.

•              Analyze sales performance, consumer trends, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities.

•              Lead negotiations and close commercial deals with international and regional distribution partners.

•              Manage pricing strategies and revenue forecasts across different markets and platforms.

•              Expand and oversee global distribution channels, including physical retail outlets, online platforms, and licensing partners.

•              Build and manage relationships with key distributors, resellers, and platform operators.

•              Ensure efficient supply chain coordination and inventory management for physical distribution.

•              Evaluate and onboard new distribution partners aligned with strategic priorities.

•              Work closely with the Marketing and Publishing teams to ensure alignment on product launches and campaign timings.

•              Support the planning of events and oversee on ground sales coordination to maximize sales opportunities for published content.

•              Oversee the management of online product listings and channel partner sales reporting.

•              Manage product placement within retail partner locations and ensure adherence to visual merchandising guidelines.

•              Ensure all titles meet regulatory requirements for printing and distribution approvals.

•              Conduct regular visits to sales outlets to monitor performance, product availability, and in-store execution.

•              Coordinate closely with the marketing team on in-store and external activations to support and achieve sales targets.

•              Reconciliation of financial reports with DCT accounts receivable teams and coordination of raising the required invoices.

 

Shared Activities

•              Ensure effective cascading of the functional strategy into unit business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing sectional strategies.

•              Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the unit by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximize performance. 

•              Act as a role model and drive adherence to organizational values and ethics by employees of the assigned unit to foster a value driven culture within the organization. 

•              Manage and ensure effective implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned unit activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. 

•              Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction. 

•              Ensure that all unit reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet DCT requirements, policies and quality standards.

•              Comply with all relevant EHS guidelines, policies and procedures, by reporting incidents and hazards on a timely manner, and reduce consumption of natural resources to support in protecting the environment and ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

 

4             Qualifications & Experience

•              Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or related field; Master’s preferred.

•              4-6 years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably in publishing, media, entertainment, or consumer goods.

•              Experience with international distribution, licensing, and digital content platforms.

•              Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing strategic partnerships.
